We are deprecating the legacy Gcore Grafana data source plugin and replacing it with the Gcore Stats Grafana Datasource Plugin, which supports our CDN and other Edge network products. Customers currently using the legacy plugin must migrate to the new plugin within 30 days to avoid potential disruption to their Grafana dashboards and alerts.

    Timeline

    • [Today’s date]: Deprecation notice and new plugin available

    • 25 July 2024: Legacy plugin reaches end of support and may stop working

    Impact

    • Existing installations of the legacy Gcore Grafana plugin may stop receiving data or fail to work as expected after the end-of-support date.

    • No impact for customers who are not using the legacy Grafana plugin.

    Required action

    1. Install the new plugin

    2. Configure the new data source in Grafana

      • Add the Gcore Stats data source

      • Configure authentication and connection as described in the plugin documentation

    3. Update dashboards and alerts

      • Change existing panels and alerts that use the legacy Gcore data source to use Gcore Stats

      • Verify that metrics and alerts for CDN and other Edge network services display correctly

    4. (Optional) Remove the legacy plugin

      • After confirming your dashboards and alerts work with the new plugin, you can safely remove the legacy plugin.

    Benefits of the new plugin

    • Single data source for CDN and other Edge network products

    • Support for alerting

    • Expanded metrics and improved query capabilities

    • Better long‑term support and compatibility with future Gcore features
